Debbie Cunningham attends Bethlehem Baptist Church and serves on Mission Council, the governance board of Arotahi/NZBMS. She is also a member of the Arotahi General Director Search Team.
As a key part of the listening phase for the Arotahi General Director search, the Search Team are in the midst of attending all Baptist Association Regional Hui where we are encouraging those attending to reflect on the work of Arotahi, both here in Aotearoa New Zealand and overseas.
What we want to hear from our Baptist whanau:
- Name the existing strengths of Arotahi and qualities of the General Director that you think we should retain?
- Do you see any existing gaps or areas that need strengthening in Arotahi? If so, what are they?
- What do you consider to be the key priorities Arotahi should focus on in the next 5 years?
We have received some insightful thoughts and feedback from those who have already responded. Some central themes have begun to emerge, and Mission Council will be taking these into consideration as we work towards finalizing the job description for the incoming General Director.
