On behalf of the search group, can I just say a huge thank you to everyone who responded to the General Director Search Team’s request for feedback over the past few months, whether it was by filling out the survey, sending us a quick email, making a phone call, or having a conversation at one of the regional hui. It was heartening to see such a wide range of people responding, from global workers, staff, leaders within the Baptist movement and those with a heart for mission. As we collated the responses gathered we have been encouraged to see themes emerging such as the importance of continuing to build connection with our Baptist whanau here in Aotearoa New Zealand alongside our global workers serving internationally and the desire of many to see more global workers sent out.

After taking the feedback received into consideration a draft job description has been produced, and this was presented, discussed and approved at our Mission Council meeting on Saturday 25th July which means we will be accepting applications for the General Director role from today. Applications will be close on 16th August, when we will move on to the interview process.

To apply, go to the job listing on the Seek website.

As always, if you would like to know more, find the job description and the link to apply for the role, you can find all that you need on the landing page. Please continue to pray for potential applicants and for the search team as we review applications and prayerfully consider who should take Arotahi forward in this next season.
