Mike Crudge is Communications Director at the Baptist National Support Centre in Auckland. He is also part of Royal Oak Baptist Church.
In 2025 Letters to the Editor started up again. Historically when ‘The Baptist’ was a printed newspaper Letters to the Editor was how the voice-of-the-people got shared, where the art of carefully crafted and succinct opinion sharing was enjoyed. This is for the 30,000 people in Baptist churches across New Zealand.
Inform us, inspire us, lift our eyes up, remind us of what’s important, share what Jesus is doing in your part of the Union of churches, seek collaboration partners, pitch your idea, share your lament, keep a conversation going...

People in Baptist churches communicate
The Baptist NZ communication platform (website, app, Facebook, printable newsletters) is the platform of the 238 churches and faith communities of the Baptist Union of New Zealand. It’s yours – your local church owns it and shapes it.
