The National Council invite all churches to unite in prayer as the search for the next National Leader of the Baptist Churches of New Zealand is underway.
As the Baptist Churches of New Zealand seek God’s guidance in appointing a new denominational leader, we recognise that this is a season of prayer, discernment, and trusting in God’s perfect plan. We recognise the importance of choosing someone who listens to God, discerns His will, engages theologically, and remains faithful to biblical truth. This is a pivotal time for our churches, and we invite all churches to unite in seeking the Lord’s wisdom and direction.
Let Us Pray Together:
For God’s Guidance
That those responsible for the selection process would be led by the Holy Spirit, choosing a leader who embodies humility, wisdom, and a heart for the mission of the gospel in Aotearoa and beyond
For the Right Leader
That God would raise up a servant leader who is passionate about strengthening the local church, equipping leaders, and advancing the Kingdom of God in New Zealand’s diverse communities.
For Unity and Discernment
That our churches will be united in heart and purpose, trusting in God’s leading and embracing His plans for the future.
For the Gospel Mission
That our new leader would have a deep love for Christ, a commitment to biblical truth, and a vision to see lives transformed through the power of the gospel.
For Unity and Mission
That our churches will stand together in prayer and trust, embracing God’s calling for this new season and remaining committed to the gospel mission in Aotearoa New Zealand and beyond.
