Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated individual with a passion for Jesus and His Church to join us as an Associate Pastor. This permanent full-time position will be an integral part of our Pastoral Team, offering diverse opportunities for ministry involvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Pastoral Care: Extend nurturing support to newcomers and existing members through pastoral care initiatives.

Facilitating Spiritual Growth: Develop and oversee courses and training programs aimed at fostering spiritual growth among church members.

Senior Care: Provide pastoral support and care for the senior members of our congregation. Including facilitating and attending their weekly events.

Overseeing Multi-cultural Ministries: Lead and support our various cultural ministries within the church community.

Sunday Services Involvement: Play an active role in Sunday services, including preaching and hosting duties.

Criteria:

• Holds a theological qualification from an accredited theological institution.
• Seeking to be part of a pastoral team in a family church environment and dedicated to promoting the Kingdom of God through various aspects of local church ministry such as preaching, leadership training, pastoral care, and discipleship.
• Has had at least 3 years’ experience in pastoral ministry or equivalent and is willing to serve a multicultural and intergenerational congregation.
• Committed to sound biblical teaching and aligns with the policies of the Baptist Union. (We have a deep love for the Word of God and His church!)
• Fulfils the biblical character and skill requirements for leadership.
• Current New Zealand Resident
