Eastgate Te Kauwhata is a vibrant, diverse and growing congregation. On any given Sunday, the congregation, meeting in the Rugby Club, is made up of approximately 70 adults and 10-15 children. Kai as the worship service closes is a key aspect of our life together. There is a leadership team who have been working with the current Campus Pastor (part-time – 15 hours per week) who travels in from Auckland.

The responsibilities of the new campus pastor, a full-time role, will include leading the congregation, supporting the youth ministry, and furthering the campus model. We are seeking a pastor to live in, serve and love Te Kauwhata as this campus of Eastgate is growing and has the potential to grow a lot more.

Established in 2017 as a campus and congregation of Eastgate Christian Centre, Eastgate Te Kauwhata, has grown and developed within its own identity and as part of Eastgate Christian Centre. We are committed to the campus model, which means there are no plans for Eastgate Te Kauwhata to become a separate Baptist Church. We see the mutual benefits of strengthening as one church across campuses: Te Kauwhata and Pakuranga are both stronger because of the other.
