The Baptist Church in Ashburton is waiting on the Lord and seeking the pastor the Lord is preparing for us, and us for him. ABC is a family church made up of a diverse group of people of all ages, functioning under the ministry-led model. We have a love for our community and strong connections with our overseas missions, desiring to effect change in the lives of the lost.

We are seeking a pastor who:

• has a heart for people, both inside and outside the church
• is prayerful, worshipful and sensitive to the Holy Spirit’s leading
• has sound knowledge of the Word, formal theological training, and being acquainted with Baptist   ethos would be helpful
• has good teaching/preaching skills, being able to impart vision to staff and congregation
• is experienced in all aspects of pastoral ministry, including equipping people and leading staff
• will lead the church to achieve God’s purposes and vision for ABC
• will become an integral part of a mature and supportive eldership team
