We continue in our series in Matthew ?God?s Sacrifice?, connecting Easter with ANZAC. 100 years after Gallipoli we acknowledge the sacrifice of the many, yet we look further back to the sacrifice of the One, of Jesus. Jesus died as a sacrifice. This portion of Matthew looks at three meals with the older Passover and the future Heavenly Banquet linked by the critically important Last Supper. Jesus used the Passover to highlight he himself was the sacrificial lamb. In the light of that, we are to rejoice and thank God for the person and work of Jesus.
