New Zealand Baptists are part of the world family of Baptists, in particular the following groups:
Baptist World Alliance
The BWA, is a fellowship of 245 conventions and unions in 126 countries and territories comprising 51 million people. Its mission is “Networking the Baptist family to impact the world for Christ.”
Asia Pacific Baptist Federation
APBF represents over 33,000 local churches and 65 Conventions in 22 Countries across the Asia Pacific region as a regional organisation of the Baptist World Alliance. The aims of APBF are to promote fellowship, cooperation and service amongst Baptists, to stimulate and coordinate evangelism, to assist in consultation and planning for various ministry programs, and to function as a regional organisation of the Baptist World Alliance (BWA).
Baptist Women of the Pacific
The BWP is a network or union of Baptist women’s ministries from the south-west Pacific region. The BWP is managed by a voluntary executive committee of Baptist women from the region. Their purpose is to connect, equip and mobilise the Baptist women of the Pacific. This is achieved in a multitude of ways including conferences, connecting through social media, prayer events, newsletters, and workshops.
