Jonah

God is soveriegn, full of grace and compassion, as merciful towards us as he is to our enemies. No-one can escape his presence today or justice in the end, so we need to show God's grace to everyone around us, even when it isn't common sense to do that.

1. God is true to himself Exodus 34:6 The LORD, a compassionate and merciful God, patient, always faithful and ready to forgive. 2. God wants no one to perish 2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slow about his promise, as some think of slowness, but is patient with you, not wanting any to perish, but all to come to repentance. 3. God is no respecter of persons John 3:16 God loved the world this way: He gave his only Son so that everyone who believes in him will not die but will have eternal life.
