Journey of the Israelites out of slavery into Egypt

Crossing the Jordan River (Judges 3) symbolises the Baptism in the Holy Spirit. After this the Israelites were able to fight their battles using the power and resources of God. God will make the Promised Land available to us if we are prepared to go out and possess it and reclaim it from the evil one.
