Passing it on

Tim concludes our Passing It On series through 2 Timothy, this week reaching 2 Timothy 4:6-22. 2 Timothy is all about passing on the good news about Jesus, and in this passage the apostle Paul, close to the end of his life, urges Timothy to keep going, to be driven by the mission of Jesus and the glory of Jesus. In his leadership, Paul encourages Timothy to carry a lot of people in his heart, and also to carry a lot of God in his heart. This continues to be the essence of Christian leadership today: people and God.

Tim continues in our Passing It On series through 2 Timothy, this week reaching 2 Timothy 3:10-4:5. 2 Timothy is all about passing on the good news about Jesus, and in this passage the apostle Paul contrasts Timothy with the false teachers of earlier in 2 Timothy, encouraging Timothy and us to pass on the Bible so that we endure, equip and evangelise.

Beware of false teachers, false Christians and seemingly godly people - lovers of the world, but deniers of of God's powers - they are among us. Have nothing to do with such people. Dont be one of them.

Ingest the Word so that the Word will ingest you. Use the bible to remind yourself of truths and to fight ideas from false teachers

There's no shame in a clean pass.
