Pakuranga Baptist Church is looking for a Children and Family Team Leader/Pastor to lead and develop the Children’s and Family Ministry of PBC, so that children aged from 0 to Year 9 are encouraged to be enthusiastic and active disciples of Jesus growing as part of our local church community.

In particular the Childrens Team Leader will:

• Coordinate and develop the children’s and intermediate’s Sunday program.
• Develop volunteer leaders to pursue a balanced, growing ministry.
• Facilitate some form of community outreach.
• Equip and empower adults in church and home partnership.
• Champion the formation of intergenerational community.
• Develop an integrated strategy for faith formation at PBC in conjunction with the Senior Pastor and Youth Team Leader.

An ideal candidate will:

• Be enthusiastic to grow in their skills as a Christian leader.
• Have an evident passion and a love for Jesus.
• Be gifted in developing relationships with children and families.
• Have some theological training and experience in their background.
• Be willing to work as part of a larger church leadership team.
• Be eager to participate fully in the life of the church.
• Be able to develop a heart for the growth of God’s Kingdom in East Auckland!
