Are you passionate about stewardship and service within a faith-based community? Roslyn Baptist Church is seeking a dedicated individual to fill the role of Part-Time Church Manager at our historic heritage-listed site.

About Us:

Roslyn Baptist Church is a small congregation that recently relocated to the city centre in Ōtepoti/Dunedin. We are blessed with a beautiful building that we share with two residential and one commercial tenant. We desire to be good stewards of our assets and to use them as much as possible to bless the community around us. The increased administrative burden leads us to seek someone to fill the role of Part-Time Church Manager.

The Role:

As the Part-Time Church Manager, you will play a vital role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our facilities. Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing tenancies so that our residential and commercial tenants’ needs are met in accordance with their lease agreements.
• Overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of our historic building; ensuring we are compliant with relevant regulations (building WOF, Fire Evacuation Schemes, for example); and overseeing our health and safety programme.
• Handling finances for the church; overseeing budgets; and financial planning and reporting.
• Collaborating with the Board of Elders to support the church’s mission and ministry.

Requirements:

We are seeking candidates who possess:

• A strong appreciation of Baptist Ecclesiology and the unique character of Baptist ministry.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Previous experience in property management, finance, or a related field.
• A commitment to upholding the values and mission of Roslyn Baptist Church.

Position Details:

Part-Time: 2 days per week.
