As a movement of faith communities we have access to funding from the generous sources listed below. Please get in touch with us if you have any questions about what funding may be available for your requirements. We have a number of options to fund programmes and initiatives around ‘Supporting Families and Social Services’
The Tindall Foundation
The Baptist support centre is a Funding Manager for The Tindall Foundation. Funds are available to Baptist churches and trusts to fund programmes ‘Supporting Families and Social Services’. The Baptist support centre manages an allocations committee that considers applications on a bi-annual basis. Applications for funding are available twice a year: December (closes end of February), and April (closes end of June). For full Tindall Foundation grant application information, how to make an application, and to download an application form, please click here.
Baptist Foundation
The Baptist Foundation has funds available for Baptist community ministries and justice and neighbourhood initiatives in the Northern Baptist Association region. Operating and capital costs can be applied for, with a limit of $25,000 per annual application. More information or an application form can be obtained from Stephen Parker: [email protected] Applications are due by end of March and September each year.
Baptist Children’s Trust
This trust is a continuation of the work of the Manurewa Children’s Home which started in 1914 as a national response by Baptist churches to the plight of orphans and vulnerable children. The home closed in 1989 after government law changes ceased to support homes where more than 10 children were in care in favour of fostering children. Baptist work with children and families continues through the Baptist Children’s Trust, which is an active and major supporter of Iosis, which evolved out of the merger of three Baptist entities in 2006: Merivale Women’s Refuge, Baptist City Mission and Baptist Family Services.
