Executive Pastor

Do you have a passion for seeing people and communities transformed by the love of Jesus? Are processes, compliance and policies music to your ears? Are you looking for a way to engage both of those?

We have an opportunity for a called pastor to serve at South West Baptist Church as our next Executive Pastor. This role works closely with our Senior Pastor as part of our Leadership Team. This involves contributing to and implementing South West Baptist’s spiritual and strategic direction, vision and values.  Our leadership role model the vision of SWBC as a whole-of-life commitment and are, first of all, followers of Jesus and active disciplers of others.

You will have robust biblical understanding of God’s missional bias to the poor and marginalised. Experience essential in handling complexity and leading through change toward shared missional action.

This role also leads our Structures Team, overseeing Finance, Facilities, IT and Human Resources. It’s a position that requires adaptability, needing to hold both details and the big picture, with people management skills in the mix. You’ll be dedicated to ensuring we’ve crossed our t’s and dotted our i’s with our compliance, policies, procedures, and budgeting, all while sharing the love of Jesus!

This role is for 30 hours a week, but this can be negotiated up to full time for our successful candidate. The full job description is available on our website.
